These cars were often used by Royalty, Heads of State and Mayors to provide an open top journey on public occasions.

The rear convertible section can be raised or lowered in seconds and so provides excellent 'open top' photographic opportunities without the need to necessarily keep the top down for the whole journey.

In all other respects, the vehicle is identical to the standard Daimler DS420 limousines with seating for up to 7 passengers in comfort.

With its black roof, it is also ideally suited as a second car to any of the ivory/black vintage Rolls-Royces.
